Prima January BAP

My layout I created for Prima's January BAP is a nice bright summery page.  I used sticky embossing powder with microbeads and perfect pearl mists and ink for the background. The layout is mainly using the Zephyr range.

January Prima Product Pick is a combo of blues and greys - quite wintery. I chose a canvas panel and canvas resist pieces and lots of embellishments for my layout. Here is the palette:

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Crazy Monday Kits and other stuff....

Well this is my first post for the year and its nearly the end of the month.  2013 looks like it is going to fly.....

Happy new Year everyone.  I have been busy with school holidays and working full time over the last two weeks (lucky Wendy and Adrienne have been to CHA and Disneyland in LA) so not a lot of time to blog.  I have been creating as Annelie kindly offered me a Guest Design spot with her Crazy Monday Kits as well as making a memory book for my sister.

So I was Guest Designer over at Crazy Monday Kits this month with a kit and its add on called
"Family is Forever". Annelie warned me it was not a flowery kit (she knows my normal style well!) but I was up for the challenge especially when I saw the beautiful colours in the kit.

With my first layout  I placed molding paste over my white cardstock with a breadknife and then sprayed it with Dragonfly Glimmer mist. Then I spread it around a bit more with the knife to create my background.

With my second layout I used a Crafters workshop template called paint lids with distress inks for the background.

With my third layout I decided to go with another colourway.

I then created a mini mini album with the brad packaging.

The next layout I used a grid pattern to showcase more than one photo of Kaitlyn eating biltong/jerky.

With the "left overs" of the kit I created a layout with me on it .... a very rare occurrence! This was a few years ago - loved going on walks in the bush with the kids - something we have not done much of lately!

So all I added to the kit was a couple of bits of cardstock and consumables and all that is left is washi tape and alphabets and a few paper scraps that were too small to keep! Thanks so much annelie for the awesome kit! Sneak peaks of next month are coming soon and it sounds gorgeous ;).

I am hoping to have a much more creative year this year!
See you soon!
