I Heart Prima - Part Two

I am back again with my last creation for the design team call over at Prima which has now closed.

I decided to create a Prima mini canvas album - which has turned out not so mini!! I had bought the album a while back and had not used it. I decided to create a book about a growing family over the years. So after a few days this was created:

The Front Cover

The Front Cover Details

The Pages as Doubles

The Pages as singles

I am really proud of what I have created for this call so even if I don't get on the team, which considering how many people would have applied there is only a small chance that it would happen, I am so glad I had a go.

The following is what I created for the design team call for Prima two calls ago (I think it was December 2008).  tis was my first time applying for the team. Love these layouts still but it shows how much I have learned on this creative scrapbooking journey and how much more I spend (gulp).

Thanks for looking now the wait is on!

I Heart Prima - part one

I hope you all have had a great Easter my one has been a pretty lazy one which is good as I have a busy couple of weeks coming up.

I am back to share my creations I told you about in my previous post now the Prima design call is closed.  After talking to a few friends I decided I would concentrate more on off the page items so two of my projects are off the page ones and the other is this layout. Lots of layering and a bit of paper tole and masking too.

The other week I was in the Warehouse and found and awesome silver pocket watch style clock in the clearance section so it came home with me and was altered into this Home decor item with a lot of crackle paint, mod podge and Prima goodness!. I really love how it turned out and it is hanging up in my house!(there is not a lot of my projects on display). The phrase around the edge of the clock is one I found on one of the Prima papers. "The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart".

I will share my biggest project I created later this week - a Prima canvas mini album  I have had sitting in my cupboard for a while waiting to be created.

Here is my layout using Fairy Flora papers from CHA July 2010.

I have also finished my Prima BAP for the month and have used one of my favourite lines from CHA January 2011 - Botanicals. It reminds me of New Zealand with the ferns on it and it is great for boy pages.  I have also used a canvas refill page from a Prima album in the background.

One of the reasons my blog has been neglected is that I have been creating a heap of stuff from classes, my NZ Paperchase brief (which you would have to wait and see until the magazine comes out at the end of May) and my pet project which is my application for the Prima design team. I love Prima goodies and enjoy doing the contests every month.  Here is a very sneaky peek of what I created - the design team call only closes our time Friday so I can show and tell the projects in the next few weeks.
