Jenni Bowlin Inspiration

With my recent order Adrienne and Pauline from Scrappin' Patch sent me the Jenni Bowlin Homespun range of papers and here is what I created :

Layout one - I cut the middle flower out of the quilted floral paper and then cut out petals from the side flowers and also cut out the leaves. With these I made a layered flower which I decorated with Kindyglitz. I also cut part of the diecut label paper off and use Kraft cardstock to soften the colours a bit.

Layout two has been made from scraps of layout one. I have made lollipop flowers and used some glimmermist.

Layout three I have made my own flowers from the paper. With the title which is using American craft foam thickers I have coloured white alphas partially with a black sharpie so it still has a white frame.

These would be great papers for layouts of Easter or spring or baby girls.

Sketchy Thursdays plus a bonus!

It's time for another Sketchy Thursdays, not only is there an inspirational sketch but this week Sketchy Thursdays has teamed up with the Who's That Girl challenge blog and they are adding a prompt.

So this week, you can use the sketch and do your own topic , or you can use the prompt, submit your page to the Who's That Girl blog as well, and do double duty with one page.

The Who's That Girl challenge blog prompt is "Right Now." What are you into right now, at this point in your life? Choose the top 5, maybe 10, things that are in your life now that defines this moment in time for you.

Here is the sketch:

New Boyzone Challenge over at Scrappin' Patch

Hannah has set a new boyzone challenge over at Scrappin' Patch and this is it:

My challenge is to create a layout about a struggle/challenge that you have faced with one of the BOYS in your life.
This could be your son, father, husband, brother, friend or even a male pet! It doesn't have to be really "serious", it could be something like the challenges and frustrations of potty training a little boy, or house-training a new puppy! Or it could be something bigger, like dealing with a loss, an illness/injury or financial struggles.Journaling plays a big part in telling these stories. However, the journaling could be hidden if the words are too personal to share in public. I have found that writing about these hard times can be really therapeutic.

You have until midnight the 25th of April to load your take in the gallery to be in to win a RAK from Scrappin' Patch!

Here is my example:

Here is another layout I did at Annelies last week showing the new Websters mixed with the old along with an older Basic grey Doiley

The sketch is up over at Sketchy Thursdays . Here is my first layout as a design team member. Go check out the other Design team members awesome layouts.

Crate Paper Pink Plum Take out kit

Well I have been so inspired to scrap with the retreat - no I am not scrapped out :D - that I have done my next kit over the last two days before the school holidays. It is using the beautiful Pink Plum range by Crate Paper. With this kit you can make four layouts - and have a bit left over. It is suitable for any age girl or woman - very versatile! This kit will be up for sale in the shop next week as I just need to send some embellishment packs to the shop which I will do on Tuesday and do the instructions for two of the layouts.

Here are two layouts from the kit.

And in this one its the first time I have used bunting - being inspired by Megan (thanks Megan)

Here is a sneak peek of the other two layouts:

So if you want one of these kits which are limited head on over to Scrappin' Patch!
