Sketchbook Fortnightly Sketch

So after some help from Hannah (thanks Hannah) with the gallery I have set my first fortnightly sketch as a contributor over at The Sketchbook.  I decided on a multi photo one and used the photos of the tiger cubs from our recent zoo trip.  The sketch worked with these as the photos were taken long distance.

Heres my Sketch

and here is my layout

Here is my post at The Sketchbook

Upload your layout into the gallery to be in to win an awesome RAK from Adrienne at SBO.

Scrapbook dreams October Sketch challenge

I have not done many layouts recently. I have been very busy at the Scrapbook Dreams forum with ATC's, Inchies and a circle Journal (my first one) so decided to do the October Sketch. It is a multi photo sketch with the theme been Collections and as my collection of home made teddy bears is packed away I have done a layout with my scrapbooking products collections and instead of photos have used the products themselves.

Here it is:

Whoo Hoot wednesday

I haven't whoo hooted for a while got a few whoo hoots from recent weeks

Becoming a contributor at Sketchbook and having some amazing comments about it from a lot of people - thank you so much - I am really looking forward to being on the team and hopefully inspiring a lot of people.

Sending a layout to Basic grey for the first time and it was accepted for their gallery.

Rejoining friends of the zoo and having a family outing there on Sunday (ended up only me and the boys after an hour as Katie was having a horrible day so Andrew went shopping at St Lukes with her but we wont go there.)

Seeing the tiger cubs at the zoo - they are so cute and their paws are so big!! - They share my birthday too - 12th of June!! Tigers are my favourite animal.

Getting my inchies from my inchie swap at Scrapbook Dreams - it was a black and white three inch inchie swap. They are gorgeous and have put them on a black canvas (will post a photo soon) and signed up for the next one a rainbow one. Thank you so much Ladies!

Thats all I can think of now - ooh and its late - I haven't had my nightcap (and my banana bread I baked today) and I was going to do more scrapping - oh well - tomorrows another day - have a great week everyone

My News....

I have some awesome news - I have been chosen to be a Contributor at The Sketchbook. I applied a few weeks ago and was a little surprised when chosen. I am going to be helping out a very talented lady Megan who developed the site only a few months ago and it has grown rapidly. I am joining forces with the amazingly talented Hannah, Annelie, Rachel and Lara as a fellow contributor alongside Megan.
The Sketchbook is an awesome forum with fortnightly challenges, Friday night challenges , Celebrity challenges (this month it is Layle Koncar from Scenic Route) as well as bigger contests like the recently completed Sketchbook Olympics. I am really looking forward to working with the ladies - Thanks Megan.

Sadly to do this I have had to give up the last three months of my designer role at Little shop of Sketches - two more weeks to go. I have enjoyed doing the layouts for the sketches Tanya Leigh provides and has been a great introduction to the wider scope I will have at The Sketchbook. There is exciting things afoot at Little Shop of Sketches and Stampin Scrap with a new designer next month and the 12 Days of Christmas contest in December as well as more stock at the Shoppe. Thank you so much for the opportunity you gave me Tanya Leigh and wishing you all the best with your shoppe and site - I will still be visiting to see all the inspiration .

Whoo Hoot Wednesday

Its Wednesday again and half way through the first week of holidays and its whoo hoot time...

My big whoo hoot is my box of goodies arrived from Paper pesto on Friday for me to use as a guest designer - its a lovely kit very pretty and I have done six layouts with it and also will do the mini book that is with it with the leftovers (half done). I have only added a few things from my stuff mainly alphas and a couple of bits of cardstock. When I first looked at the kit I thought it was very girly but two of the layouts are boy ones. Check out their blog in the next week or so for my layouts and other designers layout - the full kit details are up too.

Getting another lovely pack of papers etc from Scrappin Patch including my rak for winning their challenge. Yes they enabled me again by offering a $20 voucher to spend in November or December for being a subscriber to their newsletter.

Getting a very cute xmas tree stamp and bling arrow from Julia at Scrapbox for being the sole entrant in the first colour challenge they set.

I'm a host for an ATC swap at Scrapbook Dreams have a look here close off is the 10th of October.

A whoo hoot for Christopher he is a scrapbooker too - at five he loves doing his scrapbooking and he does really well - I will have to take a photo or two of his creations and post them up - I think he did four today!! He is really into colouring in too and its a rainbow of colours eg a rainbow coloured lightning McQueen - soo cool. Kaitlyn and Brendan also do a little scrapbooking too. Brendan whipped up a very quick cool diorama? today too for his grandad where he is having a sleepover tonight.
